Vincent Wong is the former Chief Executive Officer of IDA International. IDA International is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and serves as its executive arm in collaborations with foreign government. He is responsible for driving IDA International’s charter to help public agencies – from Asia, Middle East to Africa and Caribbean – deliver socio-economic outcomes enabled through public service infocomm. In his role, Mr. Wong advises government leaders and public administrators in the planning and execution of eGovernment.
Prior to joining IDA International, Mr. Wong was a Partner at Accenture Singapore. He worked closely with clients from government agencies in Singapore and overseas providing Strategy Consulting, Business Process Reengineering to leading Systems Integration and Operations of large-scale, mission-critical solutions.
During early 2000s, Mr. Wong founded several start-up companies which invented, developed and marketed solutions in the area of online payments. His entrepreneurial ventures included attracting seed-level funding.
A veteran of the consulting and ICT industry, he served as Honorary Secretary of IT Management Association (ITMA) – Singapore’s society for CIO’s – from 2004 – 2011; and council member of Singapore Computer Society (SCS). He remains a Fellow of the SCS and an active member of the ITMA. Mr. Wong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science and Information Systems).
Mr. Wong is married with two school going sons. He was a keen golfer but now devotes his spare time to photography; with a preference for traditional but classic rangefinder and film.
